Interview with me

1. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest? Jennifer Lawrence, without a doubt

2. Would you like to be famous? In what way? Yes. In all the ways! I would love to be known for my writing, of course.

3. Before making a phone call, do you ever rehearse what you're going to say? Why? I so rarely make phone calls unless it's an appointment I'm making, or a billing issue. So no, I don't rehearse. I know what to say. But PERSONAL phone calls? I just don't do them. Text me!! Don't call unless someone is actually dead or in a hospital, okay?

4. What would constitute a perfect day for you? Sleep late, have coffee, go to the beach, swim, nice dinner out, wine, dancing, laughing a lot, talking with someone late into the night, pass out.

5. When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else? I sing in the car all the time. But I don't sing TO anyone. The last person I've sung TO was probably my son in the car, and he asked me to shut up.

6. If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the mind or body of a 30-year old for the last 60 years of your life, which would you choose? The mind. Definitely. What good is a 30 year old body, if your mind is gone? I don't even have a 30 year old body now!

7. Do you have a secret hunch about how you will die? Yes, I do. And I really hope I'm wrong, because it's not a good way to go. But yes, I think I know what'll get me.

8. For what in your life do you feel most grateful? My mom and my son.

9. If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I wish that I could have felt more comfortable telling my parents things about my life or my problems. There's so much they never knew, but I was just too nervous or uncomfortable or scared to talk to them.

10. If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be? I'd wish to wake up without any anxiety or panic about my life. That's the quality I'd want. To be relaxed and not constantly in panic mode.

11. If a crystal ball could tell you the truth about yourself, your life, the future or anything else, what would you want to know? I'd wanna know if I ever get out of the hole and get a decent job. I'd also wonder if I'd ever find love again. And I also want to know if I ever get better from the anxiety and depression that rules my life.

12. Is there something that you've dreamt of doing for a long time? Why haven't you done it? Becoming a published author. The reason I haven't? One, I don't have the money for an editor. And two, I've never been confident enough that I have the talent. But mostly, it's the money part keeping me from at least TRYING...

13. What is the greatest accomplishment of your life? This is gonna sound odd maybe, but still being alive. Don't delve that deeply, but yes, that's an accomplishment for me.

14. What do you value most in a friendship? Honesty, humor, trustworthy, loyalty, caring

15. What is your most treasured memory? A Florida trip when I was turning 18. The entire vacation was absolutely perfect, and I was with someone I loved, and my whole family, and friends. It was the best time of my entire life and I know I'll never get that moment back.

16. What is your most terrible memory? Gosh, SO many. But the worst? My friend dying in my arms in my pool after he drowned and I tried to save him, but failed.

17. If you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living? Why? I'd change a few things probably. I'd like to change A LOT of things, but without money, that's not feasible. But I'd probably have more sex with people I barely knew, and I'd probably drink a lot more, and I'd also try and spend as much time as I could with my mom and my son.

18. What does friendship mean to you? It means being there for someone, listening to them, helping them, laughing with them. It means being loyal and caring and also having lots of fun together.

19. What roles do love and affection play in your life? Such a pathetic question, but outside familial love, love and affection play no role in my life. I don't have that.

20. How close and warm is your family? Do you feel your childhood was happier than most other people's? I often wish my brother and I were closer, and that I actually knew my sister. I miss my dad. But I love my mom. And I think despite certain things, my childhood was pretty good. I definitely have some excellent memories of it, but I wouldn't know if it's better or happier than other people's.

21. Complete this sentence "I wish I had someone with whom I could share..." My deepest and darkest thoughts and fears, and they'd still love me.

22. Share an embarrassing moment in your life. Gosh, I'm sure there were a hell of a lot of these. But the one thing that sticks in my mind is the fifth grade talent show. I was doing a dance number with my friends to Madonna's Material Girl, and I pranced out to the stage and slipped on some water and ended up doing the splits on accident. Everyone laughed, but I pretended I meant to do that...

23. What, if anything, is too serious to be joked about? I'm a natural jokester and can joke about almost anything, even if it's not really funny. But I guess I'd say something that simply can never be funny at all would be sexual assault or pedophilia. That would just be really crossing a line.

24. Your house, containing everything you own, catches fire. After saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item. What would it be? Why? My computer. It has ALL my writings and pictures on it. If I lost that, I'd lose everything that was part of me and couldn't get it back.

I snagged this online somewhere, but I omitted a lot of questions that I felt were weird or just not wanting to go there. But I love these little things. They're like being interviewed as if I was important....lol
